# `input`

A single-line text field with an optional label and placeholder — the default way to collect a short string.

## States

Focus / hover via CSS bags; `secure` for password fields. Common to every node: `hover` / `press` / `focus` CSS bags, `showWhen` / `hideWhen`, `animate`.

## Stability
